As we all know, life has its share of heart breaks and struggles. At times we feel overwhelmed, alone and defeated. No one is exempt. Yet, life can be wonderful. Consider a willingness to allow yourself to believe it.
When disappointments come, and they will, take a different outlook such as “closed doors are as much a blessing as an open door”. The inability to move in a specific direction has a discouraging effect. It feels like a lost opportunity but things are not always as they seem. Acknowledge that a wise God who knows everything, shields us from unnecessary pain by closing areas that can be more disruptive in the long run.
Take a moment to reflect on your life, you can probably remember a particular thing that was very important but didn’t have the outcome you wanted. As time passed, you found that something better worked out in the end. Romans, 8:28 reminds us of this: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose”. This does not say that all things are good. It does say they will work for your good if you love God.
God loves us unconditionally. He always has and will continue to love us despite what we’ve done just because of who he is. He freely gives us unmerited favor, abiding mercy and amazing grace.
Yes, we all have a purpose. We can more fully connect with it by: Remembering our Creator, Trusting God and keeping his Commandments, Considering our ways for whatever we sow, we also shall reap and, Realizing our dependence on God who gave us life. If you had a priceless item and it needed repair, wouldn’t you go to the manufacturer for help? Well, he is ours. Ask him for help. He is ready, willing and more than able.
